
This level, which I dubbed 'chateau', was an attempt to make a space that looked and felt real, but was contained indoors. It was challenging to get a balance of close and medium combat that felt right with enough breaks so that the player did not feel overwhelmed. In addition I also tried some tricks with lighting, some of which worked while others did not.
